72nd Annual SAWCA Convention Goes Virtual!
The Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators, though disappointed that we will not be “In-Person Together” for our 72nd Annual Convention, will be “Virtually Together” for the first time since 1949 and our plans for a truly unique and fun virtual experience are well under way.
Online Registration for the Virtual Conference is now available here!
Virtually duplicating the experience that was planned at the OMNI Plantation on Amelia Island will not be easy…but with a little imagination and a few special surprises, we hope to share the educational sessions that provide benefit for all stakeholders and to serve as a reminder of how important it is to remain connected during times that have the potential of reshaping our industry. Stay in touch and check out the convention page for updates as we approach SAWCA’s first virtual convention airing July 29th and 30th.
During the past two months SAWCA presented a National Regulators Virtual Town Hall and a private “Regulators Only” Virtual Roundtable enabling the sharing of issues, challenges, and concerns among the leadership of state agencies. Moving forward SAWCA will be planning future events allowing a continuation of the national dialogue created by earlier virtual meetings. Stay tuned for further information as we provide critical information and support to both state agencies and industry professionals. Finally, we look forward to the time when we can once again meet “in-person” and enjoy the SAWCA Experience.
Welcome to the Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators; Interaction, education, and sharing among state regulators from 21 Jurisdictions across the south. SAWCA is comprised of legislators, academics, constituents, and industry professionals all bringing perspectives and resources to improve workers’ compensation.
The Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators welcomes you to its website and invites you to visit often for the latest announcements & information regarding future programs as well as those events that shape our industry.
With the announcement in 2014 that Colorado was joining SAWCA…and now in 2018 with Wisconsin becoming the 19th state and 21st jurisdiction to become a governing member of SAWCA…it is a clear demonstration that not only is “Southern” a “State of Mind” but that SAWCA is a growing, relevant, and vibrant association providing significant benefits to its members. Who knows, along with the traditional “Grits”..maybe Buffalo Cheese Burgers will become a staple at future conference luncheons.
